Who we are:
We are two parents who want to help families support their children’s development. Having a child with special needs ourselves, we understand the emotional and financial challenges that families face. We opened Bringing Speech Home to guide families in creating a speech and language based routine to meet their goals. With our background in education (Speech Therapy and High School Teacher), we are able to create individualized programs to be completed at home. We help children with any neurological based diagnosis (Autism, Down syndrome, Traumatic Brain Injury, etc.) which causes delays in speech and language development, reading, expressive language, receptive language, executive function, and memory.
What we do:
We use a multimedia coaching approach to provide guidance for all families to build a strong language foundation for your child. We offer practical lessons that can be completed anywhere, from the grocery store, to the car, to in the home.
How we do it:
We support families with instructional videos, coaching, phone and e-mail correspondence to build the foundation for a successful future. Our program is exercise for the developing brain, meant to increase language skills to prepare children for the future. Our support is not limited to the traditional one or two times a week until your approved visits run out. We offer support whenever you need it, WITH NO LIMITS.
Why we do it:
We established Bringing Speech Home to build a community of support for families seeking guidance to help their child develop speech sounds, memory skills, language skills, attention, and problem solving skills through the use of functional play. The rise of electronic use among young children to develop language has the potential to cause lasting negative effects for children. We believe children are not meant to sit in front of a computer to complete educational and therapy tasks. We want to provide a supportive environment to guide families to prepare their child for academic and life success.
